& Tithes
· Giving as Worship:
Anglicans see giving as a way to glorify God and respond to His abundant generosity. Anglican's view giving as a core aspect of their faith, encouraging members to give of their time, talents, and resources, not just money, as a way to reflect God's generosity and demonstrate their faith.
· Stewardship:
They believe that all possessions, including time, talents, and money, are gifts from God, and therefore, they are called to be good stewards of these gifts. HTAJ's vestry established to take these first fruits to support 5% to the church buildings for current and future generations, 5% to missions that includes Anglican Frontier Missions and 5% to support the Gulf Atlantic Diocese.
· Giving Joyfully:
Anglicans are encouraged to give joyfully and with a grateful heart, recognizing that God is the source of all good things. Acts contains a number of passages that connect to the subject of giving. That’s because giving in the Bible is more than an act; it’s an attitude of the heart—and it’s one that Jesus wants all of His followers to cultivate.
· Why Talk About Giving:
Churches should talk about giving because it's a core aspect of Christian faith, demonstrating gratitude for God's blessings, supporting the church's mission, and fostering a spirit of generosity and stewardship.
