Bishop's Visit & Confirmation
Bishop Alex Farmer of the Gulf Atlantic Diocese
Each year the presiding Bishop pays a visit to conduct the sacrament of confirmation for individuals who seek to formally join the Anglican communion and become full members of the Body of Christ. During this annual visit, the bishop provides spiritual guidance, support, and pastoral care to those preparing to be confirmed. The confirmation ceremony is a significant event in the Anglican tradition, symbolizing a deepening of faith and commitment to the church. It is an opportunity for individuals to publicly profess their beliefs and receive the apostolic laying on of hands by the bishop, signifying the blessing and strengthening of the Holy Spirit in their lives. Bishop Farmer's 2025 annual visit serves as a time for the community to come together, celebrate the faith journey of the confirmands, and reaffirm their own commitment to the Anglican communion. In 2025 Bishop Farmer will be at HTAJ on Sunday, December 21, 2025. Please contact the office for more information.
